Temporary Restriction Mitigation of Water Intake from Tonegawa River System

Temporary Restriction Mitigation of Water Intake from Tonegawa River System

While, on our valuable water source, Tonegawa River System, there had been implementation of the water intake restriction of 10 % since June 16 (Thu), the Liaison Council for Drought Management of Tonegawa River System* decided to temporarily mitigate the water intake restriction at 9:00 a.m. Aug 24 (Wed) because the flow rate of the rivers has been increasing owing to the rainfall by Typhoon No.9 and others.

However, as the situation of the water storage on the dams has not improved drastically enough to remove the restriction, we still ask you the Tokyoites to cooperate in voluntary water saving of 5 % as a target.
