A video message from Ms. Koike, Governor of Tokyo invites people from Japan and abroad to participate the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition 2018.

In September, 2018, the International Water Association (IWA) the World Water Congress and Exhibition will be held in Tokyo with 6000 participants from 100 countries from around the world , which is the first IWA congress in Japan.

Ahead of the congress, Ms. Koike, Governor of Tokyo, as a chief of the host country, transmits a video message in English to invite more participants domestically and internationally across water-related companies, researchers, Government officials, and others.

Summary of the Message from Governor of Tokyo

In terms of water, Tokyo have been boasting for providing remarkably safe and clear tap water of the highest quality and for creating comfortable waterside environments by improving the quality of sewage treatmet water.

At present, the world faces various problems related to water, so the IWA World Water Congress and Exhibition 2018 will help to contribute toward solving problems to share the knowledge among water experts from around the world in one place. As a host city, Tokyo will use this congress to activity share Tokyo’s accumulated technologies and know-how.

We hope that you will share your experience and knowledge with many of you from around the world.
